to equip the disciples of Jesus Christ ...
Ephesians. 4:11-13
And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
so that His disciples can fulfill Jesus’ command ...
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
To make disciples of Jesus Christ and to help them mature in the fullness of Christ. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
We believe that we are an independent local church. We humbly acknowledge our Lord Jesus Christ as our only Sovereign Head and accept the Bible to be the true center of Christian union.
We believe in the universal church, made up of those who have become genuine followers of Jesus Christ and have personally appropriated the gospel. We believe the Church exists to worship and glorify God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that it also exists to serve him by faithfully doing his will in the earth; that this involves a commitment to see the gospel preached and churches planted in the entire world for a testimony; that the ultimate mission of the Church is worship and the means by which this is accomplished is the making of disciples through the preaching and embracing of the gospel. We believe that when God transforms human nature, this then becomes the chief means of society's transformation.
We believe all members of the Church universal are to be a vital and committed part of a local church; that in this context, they are called to walk out the New Covenant as the people of God and demonstrate the reality of the kingdom of God; that the ascended Christ has given gift ministries to the church (including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) for the equipping of Christ's body that it might mature and grow, and that through the gift ministries, all members of the church are to be restored and equipped for the work of the ministry, employing their God-given gifts in His service in relation to one another and to the world.
We believe that we are an independent local church.
We believe in the New Testament structure of local church government made up as elders with the help of deacons. We adhere to the qualifications set down in the Holy Scriptures.
We believe that men called by God to the offices of apostle; prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher will function in the body, "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." This will be done in harmony with the local elders and deacons who make up the local government.
We believe the Bible is the written Word of God; that it is fully inspired by the Holy Spirit of God.
The Scriptures are an essential and infallible record of God's self-disclosure to mankind and function as the supreme authority and normative rule of all Christian life, practice and doctrine.
They are totally sufficient and must not be added to, superseded or changed by later tradition, extra-biblical revelation or worldly wisdom.
Every doctrinal formulation, whether of creed, confession or theology, must be put to the test of the full counsel of God in Holy Scripture.
We believe in one living and true God, infinite, almighty, perfect in holiness, truth and love.
He eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
These are co-equal in every divine perfection and execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.
We believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth.
By His word and for His glory, He freely and supernaturally created the world out of nothing.
Through the same word He daily sustains all His creatures.
He rules over all and, together with the Son and the Spirit, is the only Sovereign.
His plans and purposes cannot be thwarted.
He is faithful to every promise and works all things together for good to those who love Him.
In His unfathomable grace, He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, for mankind's redemption.
He made all things for the praise of His glory and intends for man to live in fellowship with Himself.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the eternal Word made flesh.
He was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He is perfect in nature, teaching and obedience.
He is fully God and fully man.
He was always with God and is God.
Through Him all things came into being and were created.
He was before all things, and in Him all things hold together by the word of His power.
He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born over all creation, and in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
He is the only Savior for the sins of the world, having shed His blood and died a vicarious death on Calvary's cross.
By His death in our place, He revealed divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt and reconciling us to God.
Having redeemed us from sin, on the third day He rose bodily from the grave, victorious over death and the powers of darkness.
He appeared to over 500 witnesses over 40 days, giving convincing proofs of His resurrection.
He ascended into heaven where, at God's right hand, He intercedes for His people and rules as Lord over all, awaiting His return.
He is the Head of His body, the church, and should be adored, loved, served and obeyed by all.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life.
He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.
He unites believers to Jesus Christ in faith, brings about the new birth, sanctifies, empowers and dwells within every believer.
He serves as an abiding helper, teacher, guide and comforter.
The Holy Spirit empowers believers for Christian witness and service.
He desires to continually fill each believer and impart supernatural gifts for the edification of the Body and the work of ministry in the world.
All manifestations of the Holy Spirit present in the early church are available today.
These gifts are to be earnestly desired and practiced in an orderly manner and are essential to the mission of the Church.
Whenever the presence of the Spirit of God is manifested, something happens, as evidenced in Scripture.
All things must be done in decency and in order during service.
Services are led in openness by the Spirit of the Living God and may differ in practice.
These expressions must be discerned and judged by elders and prophets.
There is both freedom and accountability before the Lord.
We believe that worship is an essential part of the gatherings and services.
We believe all true worship comes from the heart of a believer and is appropriate in action before our Mighty God.
We believe that true worship must be followed by a period of silence to allow the working of God's Spirit as Head of the church to lead us into His will.
John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Worship is an offering we bring to the Lord. It is in the corporate church gathering that a full expression of worship can be articulated. We provide all the necessary time to bring an acceptable offering of worship to the LORD. To worship God is a privilege and our reasonable service.
We believe that man was created by God in His own image; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God.
As a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice and therefore under condemnation.
We believe that those who repent and forsake sin and put their trust in Jesus Christ as Savior by believing in their heart and confessing His Lordship have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
They have become new creatures, delivered from condemnation and are recipients of eternal life with God.
We believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, the announcement that the eternal purpose of history has been fulfilled in the kingdom of God through His birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension.
We believe Christ's death is a substitutionary and propitiatory sacrifice for our sins that satisfies God's justice, appeases His wrath, and demonstrates His love and grace.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man and that there is no other name by which men must be saved.
We believe that at the heart of all sound doctrine is the cross of Jesus Christ and the privilege of redeemed sinners to glorify God.
Therefore, we desire all that takes place in our hearts, churches and ministries to proceed from and be rooted in the gospel.
We believe that Jesus Christ inaugurated the Kingdom of God.
We believe His reign on earth is not reserved for a future date but is available now for the transformation of individuals and societies.
We believe this continues until the consummation of all things at the return of Christ.
We believe in the universal church, made up of those who have become genuine followers of Jesus Christ and have personally appropriated the gospel.
We believe the Church exists to worship and glorify God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to serve Him by faithfully doing His will in the earth.
This includes a commitment to preach the gospel and plant churches throughout the world.
We believe the ultimate mission of the Church is worship, accomplished through making disciples by preaching and embracing the gospel.
We believe that transformed lives are the primary means of societal transformation.
We believe all members of the universal Church should be active in a local church, living out the New Covenant and demonstrating the Kingdom of God.
We believe Christ has given gift ministries—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers—for the equipping and maturity of the Church.
We believe all members are to be equipped for ministry and to use their God-given gifts in service to one another and the world.
We believe that Jesus Christ initiated the New Covenant through His blood.
We believe this establishes believers in a covenant relationship with God through Christ.
We believe it provides believers with an eternal inheritance and unchanging promises to the glory of God.
Instituted by practice and by command; for and in the church until HIS return
A believer in Jesus Christ to be immersed completely in water as commanded by Christ. Often proceeded by the confession, renunciation and repentance of past conduct and sin, for the remission and deliverance of its recompense. Personally, testifying of being regenerated by God. To symbolically show the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The act of obedience, commitment and proclamation of the New Covenant in Christ.
Lord’s Table, Lord’s Supper and Eucharist - Jesus personally performed this ordinance and commanded that it be followed by His disciples, calling on them to remember His bodily sacrifice through the offering of bread and His New Covenant confirmed in His blood by the juice of grapes. To the degree this ordinance is approached by faith, it is the body and blood of Jesus Christ as testified by His declaration.
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God, as evidenced by the Fruit and Manifestations of Holy Spirit are God’s gift to the believer in Christ. He is the Power of God manifested to His disciples, to live an overcoming life and to walk in the fullness of the designated authority in Christ. By God Divine plan and desire, Jesus empowers His disciples to do the work of the ministry just as He had done in the Holy Scriptures as He sent them out, the twelve than the seventy. The empowerment is referred to as the supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit are sanctioned by and are subject to His will in all situations.
Sanctification We believe that by the grace of God and the filling of His Spirit, that His desire for us walk in the newest of life
We believe that by the grace of God and the filling of His Spirit, that His desire for us walk in the newest of life
We believe in a hopeful future that expects the success of the gospel through the Church and anticipates the full restoration of all creation; that the consummation of all things includes the personal, visible, physical, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the judgment of the just and the unjust, the separation of those outside Christ from the benevolent presence of God into enduring eternal punishment, while those who are righteous in Christ shall live in glorious bodies and reign with him forever, serving him and giving him unending praise and glory.
